An award winning restaurant on the outskirts of Truro
Everyone is required to wear a face covering. We respectfully ask all of our guests to wear their masks on entering the premises and to only remove them when seated at the table. Please put them back on to use the facilities.
In line with the curfew, last orders for the bar will be at 21:40 and kitchen will be 21:30. All guests must vacate the premises by 22:00.
Regarding the current situation we shall continue to monitor all confirmed reservations and review our cancellation policy until 1st December 2020.
We will extend any gift vouchers which were in date March 20th – July 8th until 30th November 2020.
We have placed sanitising stations throughout the restaurant including the entrance. We respectfully ask everyone to sanitise before entering the building.
Our table plan is in line with the 1 metre plus social distancing guidelines set by the government. We cannot take bookings for groups of more than 6 people.
We have implemented changes to our service procedure and will continue to monitor these in line with government advice and guest feedback. As this is developmental all feedback is welcomed when offered in a constructive manner.
We will all be following strict personal hygiene and uniform standards at all times that we are on the premises.
We would like all of our guests to remain seated at their table when requesting the bill. We will not be processing bill payments at the bar. If you have booked through Open Table and entered card details we can offer contactless payments, otherwise card payments are preferred.
We are open Wednesday to Saturday 12.00 PM until 2.30 PM & 6.30PM until 11.00PM and Sunday 12.00 PM until 4.00PM. Please note we are a dining only venue.
At Penrose Kitchen we serve the very best of local and home grown produce in the beautiful surroundings of tranquil lily ponds. The water gardens are a bonus feature for our Truro restaurant and visitors are encouraged to explore although please bear in mind they are a separate business.
Our cosy lounge area is the ideal place to meet for an aperitif and peruse our menus in the warm glow of the log burner in the winter. Enjoy al fresco dining at it’s best basking in glorious, balmy Cornish sunshine on the decked terrace with a bowl of Porthilly Mussels and a glass of chilled 1er Cru Chablis in summer. We have something for all tastes. Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome on the decking and we have ample free car parking.
Due to our location mobile phone signal may not always be available but we do offer free, unlimited WiFi.
ACCESSIBILITY – Penrose Kitchen is a single story building with a level access Main Entrance. There is level access from the main entrance to – Accessible Toilet, Dining Tables, Lounge Area, Sun Terrace, Lawn. Large print menus are available. Some staff have disability awareness training.
